Hope Life Center is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to helping every woman in Illinois find the freedom to choose life for her unborn child.
We currently have two centers, one in Rock Falls, and as of 2018, a center in downtown Ottawa. These centers function as an emergency room for the pregnancy decision, providing women in Illinois with a life-affirming alternative to other clinics. Our patient team serves at-risk
women with a free pregnancy options consultation including pregnancy testing, an ultrasound, and STI testing.

Hope Life Center was the dream of founders Mark and Laura Petigoue long before it developed into the organization it is today.
In 1983, while washing dishes at her kitchen sink, Laura tuned into a radio program discussing the needs of women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and the harm that abortion brings to women. This program birthed in Laura a desire to develop an organization that would provide women in her community with alternatives to abortion. She gathered a group of like-minded individuals and began to hold prayer meetings. A board of directors was established and on February 17, 1986, the doors of Hope Life Center opened for the first time.
